Latent Snap

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 26, 2026

Short version: Latent Photos and Latent Frames are licensed to you through the App Store under Apple's standard license agreement. Your photos stay yours, and the apps work on your device with the storage you choose. Purchases and refunds go through Apple. Keep a backup of any photos you can't afford to lose.

Who we are

Latent Snap LLC makes Latent Photos and Latent Frames and runs this website. "We" and "us" on this page mean Latent Snap LLC. You can reach us at hello@latentsnap.com.

The license for the apps

Both apps are licensed, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. We don't add a license of our own on top of it. Among other things, it provides the apps "as is" and limits our liability; its text is what counts. Each app links to it from its Settings, under Terms of use.

Purchases

Both apps are free to download. Each offers one optional in-app purchase that unlocks its paid features for good; there are no subscriptions. The free period and what the purchase unlocks are described on each app's page and in the app, and the price is shown in the App Store before you buy. Apple handles payment, receipts and refunds: to ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. Offer codes we share are redeemed in the App Store and follow Apple's rules for them.

Your photos stay yours

You keep every right to your photos and files. The apps read and change them only on your device and only where you point them: your Apple Photos library for Latent Photos, and the folders, drives, computers, NAS and cloud storage you add for Latent Frames. We never receive them. The privacy policies for Latent Photos and Latent Frames say exactly what each app keeps and where.

Changes the apps make for you

When you delete, move or tag photos, the apps change your library or your files, and every change starts with your tap. Latent Photos deletes through Apple Photos, which keeps deleted photos in Recently Deleted for 30 days, and by default saves your tags as albums there. Latent Frames saves tags inside your photo files, or in a small file beside a photo that can't hold them, and sends photos you delete to the trash, with undo. Storage, networks and devices can fail, so keep a backup of anything you can't afford to lose.

Storage and services you connect

Latent Frames connects only to the storage you add, with the sign-in you give it. Use it only with storage you're allowed to access. Those services, such as Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud or your NAS, have their own terms, which apply when you use them; we don't control them.

Using the apps and this site

Don't use the apps or this website to break the law or anyone else's rights, and don't try to disrupt the website. This site describes our apps as accurately as we can, but the App Store listing is what counts for prices, features and availability. Links to other sites are there for convenience; we're not responsible for their content.
