Latent Frames

Your photos, where they already are. Latent Frames is a photo viewer for folders: on your iPhone or iPad, a USB drive, a Mac, Windows PC or NAS on your network, or a storage bucket. Nothing is uploaded.

What it does

• Browse fast. Folders as they are, with thumbnails and a full-screen viewer that stays quick on libraries of 150,000 photos.
• Find similar photos. The app compares photos on your device, shows near-duplicates side by side, and lets you keep the best one.
• Tags that stay with the photos. Tags are saved as .xmp files next to each photo, readable by digiKam, Immich and Lightroom.

• Files on your iPhone or iPad, including USB drives, SD cards and iCloud Drive
• Shared folders on a Windows PC, Mac or NAS (SMB)
• Synology NAS, signed in to DSM
• Other NAS and cloud storage with WebDAV: QNAP, TrueNAS, Unraid, Nextcloud and more
• Storage buckets: Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi
• Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive: coming soon

Private by design

No account with us, no servers of ours, no analytics. Photos are processed on your device, and the app talks only to the places you add and to your own iCloud. Read the privacy policy.
